  Premiere CS3 Codec Problem

  I am having a codec issue that I hope to get some insight on.

  A client has provided .AVI files created on a PC in Adobe Premiere CS3 with Blackmagic Design Motion JPEG at 1080i60.

  I am working on a Mac in Final Cut Pro, with intros and outros and dropping in their footage in between. The file comes in as a .AVI with a codec listed as “dmb1” and requires re-encoding, none of my codecs will recognize it as a native codec, even though I have a Blackmaic ExtremeHD installed and have all the same codecs my client has on their PC. Also, on my Mac Premiere CS3 will not recognize the file type.

  Is there another codec I need to download?

  Has anyone else run into a problem working with Motion JPEG AVI files between PC & Mac?
