Premiere can’t play uncompressed AVI
I have read other threads similar with my problem, which can play with window media player, can import avi but can not play in Premiere source monitor. Some of reasons they don’t install codec for their particular avi.
But my avi is uncompressed. The video is taken by DC Canon Ixus 850 IS, old model not DSLR. The video property is 640 * 480, 1’18” long, 110 MB, 30 frames/sec, don’t show any codec in this file property and in Premiere CS 4 property. I sure this is uncompressed avi.
When it plays avi in source monitor, it always stay in first frame, audio is fine.
I had install ffdshow(codec package) before this problem happen. The first time it can play avi in Premiere, but few days ago it can’t. During those days I don’t install any other codec or change any window vista setting. Every time I import avi it will load ffdshow codec, so I try to disable it when import avi, doesn’t work. And try to change Premiere sequence to :
editing mode: Destop
timebase: 30 frames/sec (match my avi)
frame size: 640 * 480 (match my avi)
Pixel aspect ratio: 1.0 (match my avi)
fields: no field
display format : 30 frames
preview file format: Microsoft AVI
codec: have try all of them
and finally doesn’t work, I already crazy. Please, help me!!!!!!
