  Premiere 6.5 HELP needed..

  Im using Premiere 6.5 on an HP laptop with WinXP.. and am having troubles with starting Premiere. its starts up normally shows me the Load Projects setting screen.. I make my selections and then nothing happens. I mean I dont get any Premiere windows or setting or menus.. just my desktop staring me back in the face.. and A premiere icon at the bottom of my screen showing the the program is running.. IS there a way to reset premiere to default setting or fix this problem?
  please help… Ive already rebooted and installed the software twice.. and am in the process of calling adobe tech support.. as well.. but any and all help is welcomed..
