  Premiere 5.5 retaining cancelled captures…

  Hi all,

  I oversee the video department for a Minor League Baseball team, and we replaced one of our in-game highlight editing computers this spring with a new one that is running Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and using a Matrox MXO2 Mini capture card. Historically, when capturing, we’ve been able to discard unwanted captures by just clicking CANCEL in the “name clip” window. However, with this new setup, we’ve found that even the “cancelled” clips are still being saved, which has taken serious toll on our hard drive space.

  I’ve called Matrox, and they are convinced that this problem is a function of Premiere rather than the capture card. Have any of you run into this problem? Any thoughts on how to make it stop? Is there a setting hidden somewhere that I am missing?
