Premier Pro ‘”Export to tape” greyed out
Hi:
We edit SD and HD using the axio boxes, and have never had trouble printing to tape. Suddenly, out of the blue, “export to tape” is greyed out — on all jobs, even ones that I’ve recently printed. I’ve reinstalled the utils, switched bobs, etc…Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Sounds like an Axio problem. Or, is it possible your firewire cable fried?

Make sure you have a device control device selected. If “none” is selected, the export to tape will be greyed out.

In PPRO, the Capture utility settings seem to overide machine control settings. So, if you last used Firewire control in capture and you try to Export to Tape using serial control it won’t work. You must go into Capture and set the machine control settings to whatever you want to use in Export to Tape.
