    Hi,
I have been using Premier Pro CS3 for a few month, and since last week, suddenly I see my Premier Pro crash on start up. It 1 out of 10 times opens premier, but again in the middle of my work it crashes. And since today, as soon as I open premier and load a project, it crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, and same problem. Even tried adding premier to the DEP exception list and still no luck. Btw, I dont have a Realtek soundcard, which some say might be the cause of the problem.

This happens to me while using After Effects too, but not as much. Could someone please help. I have a deadline to meet on wednesday, and I am currently in a NDE situation (Near Death Experience).

    My system specs are:
    Windows Vista 32 bit
    3 GB of RAM
pretty low on hard disc memory (I have got around 30GB free out 250)

    Thanks

You hit the hammer right, the hard drive is your undoing. Premiere Project files are big. How many drives do you have?

    thats what i was thinkin,

i know when we used to open some of the larger projects we were working on in CS3 it used to spit the dummy.

30 minute HDV timelines can be problematic even on the fastest systems… apparently..

im not sure if adobe has done anything to rectify the situation either

we ended up working around the crashes and saving OFTEN, during edits

on the plus side ive recently completed a 1 hour 45 minute music DVD on premiere CS4 and had no problems at all 🙂

Thank you all for your responses,

After a dreadful night, I finally found a solution. Probably something was corrupted, so I uninstalled everything and used the Adobe Clean Script to completely remove whatever I have from Adobe on my computer. Then I reinstalled everything, and until now, its been working fine…not a single crash yet.

    Thanks again
