Maybe I’m the last to find out, but I see Adobe has quietly released Premiere Pro 2 .?

Can we be assured that Vegas is working on built-in multicam support for the next update? Bad enough when FCP and Avid beat Vegas with multicam, but none of us is going to like Vegas trailing *Premiere* by this much.

GPU assisted rendering sounds interesting too.

How do you say the “beat” Vegas with Multi-cam? Multi-cam has been available for Vegas for nearly 3 years! Yes, it’s a separate product but it runs directly within Vegas unlike the separate Multi-cam program used with Premiere. I have not seen how the multi-cam works but it’s become a fairly automated process in Vegas.

Whether or not Vegas has multi-cam built in the next version, Excalibur has been providing an excellent multi-cam solution with Vegas for almost 3 years now that even in it’s earliest version is still better in some key respects than the current FCP or Avid Liquid implementation.
