Premier is indexing and conforming ALL of the footage when i load up the project. This only occurs right after i restart. so if i load the project, it indexes, then i restart Premire, it works fine.

the Project and footage are located on a network share (1 Gbit)
i’ve set the media cache save next to the originals and the media cache database is on the share as well.

Another error that could be related is while it indexes the footage, it will shoot out errors within the footage.
T:\videoprojects\raw\tape1.mpeg: Error in MPEG stream detected around frame 10841. Inserting 33 red frames.
T:\videoprojects\raw\tape1.mpeg: Error in MPEG stream detected around frame 30617. Inserting 30 red frames.
T:\videoprojects\raw\tape1.mpeg: Timecode inconsistency in MPEG stream detected aorund frame 46622 Audio may be out of sync by 63 frames.

might have to do with the decoding issue??
the cache files are in the right place, premier just keeps making copies.

I have had the same issues – have you found a fix for this?
