Preferred edit monitor setup: 1 big vs 2 small?
After 5 years of faithful service I’m replacing my two 17″ Sony CRT monitors with LCDs. Keeping in mind that these are only for displaying the edit software interface (not the HD output) I’m trying to decide between a single 30″ or two 20″ or 24″ displays. The two smaller LCDs would likely fit the workspace better, but maybe I’ve been trained to live with a bar down the middle and would see more clearly (and work more efficiently) with a single display.
Does anyone have strong feelings about their edit/FCP/Kona monitor setup?? One big 30″ or two smaller displays??

I prefer two 23″ or 24″ monitors. The 30″ is too big in my opinion and the font is too small at its native resolution. If you adjust the font size to a more readable size, it defeats the purpose of having a large 30″ monitor.
