    Hello All.

A few days back i had the bright idea rendering a sequence while I was out, so i could work a little faster, and boy did it backfire.

Basically I do all my editing in a sequence, drop it in another one, add a dynamics filter to it and render it out from there.

I hit enter to render out the transitions, but now when i want to make a change inside the origional sequence every edit takes about 2 minutes to catch up.

i’m assuming it’s moving all the pre-rendered elements in the other sequences, so it doesn’t have to do the again, but this is killing me!

is there any way to tell PPro to delete them? or is there another solution?
(other than going in and deleting all of the rendered files from folder)
    Thanks
    Steve

“Rendering” preview files should be only necessary where you need a high quality preview of part of your timeline that your PC cant play smoothly, like a graphics/motion or slow motion sections. I seldom render much at all.
Also forget rendering nested sequences. I seldom do anything with nested sequences other line them up and then export to Mpeg 2 for DVD.
Preview files are not used when exporting to DVD.
I manually delete preview files as soon as the project is done.
