I think I have discovered a major bug in the new Premiere.

Added a new 5.1 audio track, and suddenly this becomes default source for audio inserts, which I cannot change. Only when I create a new 5.1 audio track, can I select this as a new source. And if I delete the track with the “A1” audio insert patching, the “A1 indicator” disappears with the deleted track!

Also when I insert an audio clip it sticks on the 5.1 track, and cannot be moved to a normal audio track, and even can cause Pr to crash!

Have tried to trash the preferences, but this does not solve my problem!

    Hi there,

Seems like in your General Settings/Audio – you have selected all incoming sources as 5.1 which turns all your Stereo Tracks into 5.1 while on import so it can only get into a 5.1 track and not a Standard track in the timeline. Try amending that settings to “Use File” , then reimport your audio tracks and see if it solves.

    Best,

    Muthu

I already checked this setting, and it is set to “use file”.
No, there is something else wrong, and I get the program to crash just by trying to move an audio clip between different tracks!

Can you do a screen recording have your exact steps? Also, it would be helpful to see your crash log. You can send it to me via PM.

Tried to duplicate the episode, but could not get Pr to behave bad.
Maybe it is because I have trashed the Prefs, and copied everything into a new project.

Anyway it all works as it should now : )
