PPro2.0 Uncompressed AVI export quality
I use PPro2.0 for producing machinima. Recently, for some reason, the video quality of AVIs exported with ‘None’ compression has been horrible and I cant figure out why.
I take a FRAPs video clip and import it into PPro and, to test things, export it without any changes using AVI with no compression, deinterlaced. The quality is absolute garbage and the file size is 3x bigger than the original FRAPs file, which is an uncompressed codec.
Any clue as to why this happened? The only thing I can think of is that I upgraded Quicktime to 7.4, which was apparently a mistake across the board. Would that have anything to do with PPro exporting AVIs?

To clarify, this has only recently begun. I used to be able to export uncompressed avi with no problems.

Uncompressed AVI is massive because it’s uncompressed. The codec used to capture is extremely good at compressing most video info. Are you working in the same size as the frap recording?
Are you shrinking it or zooming in? Have you recently updated any software? Is it just playing back poorly? Uncompressed requires a massive pipeline to playback in realtime let alone a powerful cpu.

It is the actual quality of the exported file. I would expect an uncompressed avi to be of the same quality as the original, especially when no effects or changes have been applied.
The project size matches the recording size. As I said, they only software that I have recently updated is QT to ver7.4.
The playback is fine, the image quality of the playback is what is so bad.
