  • PPro exports MXF DV25 PAL codec progressive?

Posted by Dirk Dejonghe on December 6, 2011 at 3:55 pm

I have a job going on where I will need to export about 25 hours of material at the end.
It is captured in Prores 4:2:2 8 bit interlaced PAL (720×576).

We need to deliver in Avid MXF DV25 PAL codec but progressive. I can’t see any option in AME to do DV25 PAL codec in progressive, only interlaced.

Any suggestions to tackle this problem?

    Thanks,

    Dirk

I’m assuming you’re using the AVID codecs installed into Quicktime correct?

I just checked the AVID DV codec and inside “codec options” you can select progressive or interlaced.

Maybe I need to reinstall Avid codec after updating to PP 5.5.2? I have no choice to do progressive as it is now, will investigate.

    Thanks,
    Dirk
