PPro CS6 Export Final Archival File
What is the best method for exporting a high-quality, archival level copy of my 15-minute documentary from Premiere Pro CS6 on a PC? I need to be able to move the file from my PC to a Mac to convert to a Quicktime ProRes 422 for a film festival (that’s their format/codec requirement). It’s my understanding that it’s impossible to write to ProRes 422 from a PC.
My project is being edited at 1920×1080, and it’s primarily DSLR footage. When I try to export uncompressed AVI and MOV files, they are enormous. I don’t require an 80gb file for this process. What I’m looking for is a manageable file that will compress well into ProRes 422 after transferring to a Mac.
I really wish it were possible to give the film festival a non ProRes file, but this is their rigid requirement.
Can anyone help? Does my request make sense?
Thanks,
Mark
