Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro PPro 2.0 on a laptop?

There’s no particular features that I find that specifically help with a laptop, it works fine. I like the new workspaces because laptops do tend to have a limited res. I have been running CineForm HD stuff on the laptop with not too much hiccups. The graphics card scalability is nice as well. My dell has a beefy graphics interface and I do see some benefits of scaling playback with it.
Capturing DV and HDV has worked just fine.

That could change a bit if the movies currently being edited on Matrox Axio do well at teh box office and/or get good critical reviews.

Steven, agreed, but… That’s kind of passive, especially on Adobe’s side. Apple and Steve Jobs went out of the way to get Murch to edit with FCP, to create a sense of excitement and insinuate professionalism from the the earlisest releases, even when FCP may not have really deserved it. Apple somehow creates a sense of community. The FCPUG’s all over the place. Take a look at the Art/Video schools. Almost all teach FCP, many exclusively. Adobe seems to set up a web page or two, a tour or two and then sit on its ass-waiting.

Your energy and dedication, web site, et al, makes me feel much better about Premiere than Adobe does. Thanks for that but as far as Adobe is concerned, that is kind of sad…
