    Ppro 2 multicam weirdnessy

    I downloaded the tryout version from the Adobe site to give it a test drive.
    So far I can say it has been a pretty pleasant experience, but I stumbled upon an unforeseen and strange problem with the multicam feature.

    When I go into record mode in the multicam window and press play, the individual windows start crawling over the multicam monitor space and the playback just stalls. When I scrub I can see the frames nicely, but can not cut realtime.

    THe project I used to test is a Blacmagic YUV 8 bit project in 4:2:2 with PAL Beta SP sources.

    Any ideas ?

    System specs? If your system is slow then you may notice the stuttering.

    P4 3.2 G
    2 GB RAM
    A SATA Raid with 2 MAxtor SATA 250 GB discs striped in RAID 0

    But I think I found the problem, raid not fast enough, it seems to drop frames on playback. When I remove the abort on playback checkbox the video plays but stutters insanely…

    I’m going to do a drivetest with the BMD app and will post the results here.

    D#mn…. when will i get out of system hell ?
