Just made a series of test movies with a new DJI Inspire 2. Recorded 4K ProRes on an SSD drive and to an SD card. When I try to import the files into PP CC 2018, the SSD files come in fine, but the H264 files from the SD card get an error message “Codec missing or unavailable.” I tried rewrapping them in EditReady and that gave me the same result. I then converted them to ProRes and they import fine. The original SD files play fine in Quicktime Player.

    Anyone have any ideas?

You probably recorded to an unsupported H264 format. You can see what the original files have with MediaInfo.
