PP3 output to TV for color correction
Hello,
I have a Canon XH-A1, recorded a feature length movie in HDV and edited in PP3. At my DP’s request I would like to hook it up to a CRT television so that he can color correct.
My computer currently outputs to a 19″ Samsung 2253BW widescreen monitor via VGA as well my Samsung EDV TV via DVI to HDMI. Is there a way I can do this going through from the computer to the camera via firewire and then into the CRT TV? I tried this configuration, but I just get a blue screen on the camcorder. Maybe I have the camera settings wrong? Premiere doesn’t have any options for me to select other than “none” when I open the Playback settings.
Or maybe there’s another way to get it into the TV without using the camera? I also have a DVD recorder that has a lot of different inputs and outputs, but again, Adobe doesn’t seem to want to output anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! My understanding of all this is pretty basic and I feel like what I’m doing should work, it’s just not!
