    Hello,

I cut using PP2.0 on a PC with Intel Dual Core Processors, 4GB of RAM, and an Nvidia Quadra FX1400 video card. I use this machine exclusively for SD, so it’s plenty fast enough.

After I’ve been working in a project for a while, I run into a strange phenomenon. All of a sudden, rendered files are the only files to playback smoothly in the timeline. Unrendered native AVI files (which do not require rendering) refuse to play. When the curser reaches those segments of the timeline, the video freezes, and the audio continues to play. The problem is only fixed by restarting the software.

I have tried rolling back the driver on the video card (no luck). I have tried all 3 playback settings in Premiere (no luck). I am at a complete loss as to why this is happening. It’s very frustrating. any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
