Just started to work with PP2.0 with a large project (about 900min/400GB of Cineform 1080 data). After many, many hours of conforming (whatever it conformed, the only difference I could make out between source and project is audio 16bit integer vs. 32 bit float), Premiere frequently (re-?)conforms clips. Clips I’ve never even touched. I work for half an hour just fine and in real-time, then Premiere suddenly conforms 20 clips I’ve never even though of. That would be fine if the performance would not degrade substantially during the conformation process. The machine gets really slow (Pentium D 4 @ 3Ghz, 2GB RAM).

    Any help what to do?

Once the conforming is done, you should be OK. I highly recommend that you create 20 minute projects. Not 900 minute projects. You will be a lot happier in the long run. Once you get you sequences ready, combining all of the projects can be done later for a last effeort. But it is like trying to get all of the snow from the driveway on your shovel all at one time. It is too heavy. One shovelfull at a time makes more sense.

That’s not necesarily an answer to the problem. I have a project that is currently 14 minutes on the timeline. I have 89 Gb of conformed audio.
