    Premiere pro 2 will not load anymore. splash screen gets as far as loading compiler quicktime.pm then disappears off screen, re-installed pro twice.
    Any idea chaps what is wrong?

    Tr deleting Premiere’s Preference file;
    D:\Documents and Settings\mike\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\2.0\Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs.

    Ouch, on Vista ???

    I couldn’t get PP2 to run on the OFFICIAL release on one of my machines, never mind the beta 🙂

    Wipe it out and install XP if you want to get any work done.

    Hey guys,so I’m having this exact same problem, except my OS is XP. I deleted the file as someone else suggested in this topic, however after attempting to open up Premiere Pro 2 again, the splash screen still disappeared at compilerquicktime.pm. So any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

    I had a problem with a repaired XP and my PPro2 wouldn’t load up… I did everything to get it running again. It would hang in the splash screen when it hit the Quicktime drivers. I then realized after hours of wasted reinstalling that I hadn’t reinstalled Quicktime yet!

    If your problem is at splash when it hits the QT installers/drivers:
    reinstall QT.

    Hope that helps. – Jon
