PP2 Freezing
Premiere Pro seems to freeze whenever a particular subclip is played…it will play the master clip fine.
Also, when I attempt play the subclip the memory use in Task Manager climbs to around 700k. Eventually it will go down and sometimes play, but this takes several minutes.
Any ideas?

I find this happened in PP2 on certain uncompressed, or Mpeg4 clips. Not much of a work around I’m afraid.

Thanks to those that answered my post both via the forum and email.
No thanks to the net nanny who emailed suggesting that I do a forum search first. Not having fallen off the turnip truck yesterday, I had already done so.
Here is the work-around I used: open another project import the master clip. Razor back ’til you have the footage that was contained in the original subclip. Export. Import into original project.
A bit tedious but not too bad.
