OK, here is my problem. I would like to transfer to Premiere Pro but since I am shooting EX footage and using a MacBook Pro all my footage is wrapped in MP4 so it takes a lot of work to use in Windows. If I get the Apple version of PP it will not be able to use the Murcury playbakc off the GPU so my question is will PP be much faster on an MBP when it can’t use Murcury? Or should I just stay with FCS 3 for now?

I don’t think XDCAM ex footage is accelerated via GPU in PPro Mac and probably Windows. However CUDA accelerated Adobe effects, and there are quite a few, do use CUDA acceleration and no Mac Book Pro has that capable type NVidia card as far as I know. I’m not sure if WIndows Laptops have CUDA capable graphics cards or not.
