PP is Saving the Auto-Save And Preview Folders To the Desktop – Why???
Posted by Jona Taylor on April 14, 2013 at 2:11 pmCan someone please to me why?
I would really like to have these Folders save to their default location. Does anyone know how to reset this?
I have tried reseting (Shift+Option) on launch but with no success.
Anyone have the Answer? 🙂

April 14, 2013 at 2:44 pmHi Tom.
Huge thanks for jumping in here!
It took me all night to import tens of thousands of files in their folder structures to beging this new project. Is there any way to reset these setting once they have been set the wrong way?
Also the ‘Previews Folder was set to the external drive, not the Desktop so I don’t understand why it would show up on the desktop? Any idea?
Thanks again! 🙂

April 14, 2013 at 2:48 pmYou are welcome Jona.
I am not aware of any way to change it. You could just try moving the Proejct folder where you want it, then when PrP boots up and doesnt find it maybe you could then tell it where it is. No guarantees since Ive never done this.
Maybe that Preview folder is from other projects you also didnt set a path for and they defaulted to the Desktop as well?

– Could be I’m not sure. Good insight though.
I’m trying everything I can… I wonder if I could export the project (no timeline built yet, just imported media in the project window) and the start a new project with the right settings?
Thanks again for your help here Tom 🙂
