PP CS4 not repsonding after project has opened.
Hi anybody who is listening;
I was just rendering a sequence in Premiere Pro CS4 (PC/Win7 Pro), about 4.30 minutes long at 1440/1080. Just getting ready to finish for the night and BANG! It does it again; P Pro hangs and screws up my project.
PPro gave me a an error (which I’ve had before but not fatal) which made the system hang. I had to force quit PPro. On restarting I tried to delete my PPro prefs. The project opened but hung just as I touch anything in PPro. I’ve had type of thing before but a long time ago…
A few things;
1.Why is my system telling me the scratch disk if full, when I have about 1.5TB available. It’s a clean and powerful machine designed for P Pro CS4/5.
2.Why does Premiere crash when the scratch disk runs out? This looks like bad programming to me…
3.Why is P Pro so fragile and temperamental? I worked in FC Pro (Mac)for years without any problems and crashes. It seems whatever I do, there is a ******* problem with Premiere wobbling about something!
4.Most importantly; any suggestions how to get around this situation?Any help appreciated.
