I just upgrated to CS3 and got the Create Suite, and am using After Effects for the first time on a project shot with the Sony Z1, HDV camera. How do you export or get footage from CS3 into AE. I’ve tried exprot to an HD avi file, but everytime I try to use it in AE it quits. I’ve testd with regular DV footage, and the process seems to work fine.

So I think it’s the type of HD file I’m trying to export/import into AE.

I guess what I’m asking is how those cutting in HDV get in and out of AE?

I’m edting on a PC, xeon dual proccssors with aspectHD 5.1.

Also, PP CS3 with Aspecthd 5.1 isn’t letting me export to m2t files, as I used to in PP 2.0 and AspectHD 5.0. Anyone have that problem?

You are using Aspect, but still editing M2T files?

AE will not load MPEG…but it shouldn’t have any issues with Aspect CineForm AVI files.

I was using cineform avi files, and still haven’t gotten them to work. I wasn’t even able to output an m2t file to test them. And when I cut HDV footage, I still use the native HDV projects because of a big red shift when I try to do something in cineform. In fact, I usually get a red shift when I output anything from PP. But thanks for letting me know about AE and mpegs.
