PP 1.5 vs Premiere 6.5: Export Times, AMD X2
A couple of observations:
I conducted a few export tests on a PP 1.5 and AP 6.5 and wanted to solicite comments from the group. I have not switched to PP 1.5 yet, but I am considering it. I am only a serious hobbyist, not a professional.
This is a good example of the results I am getting. I applied a video filter (Shine) to a 45 minute video file, using the same settings in both platforms (DVD high quality – Default)
Results: PP 1.5: 40 minutes
AP 6.5: 25 minutesOn a separate note: I noticed you can capture video in P-Pro and still run other programs. In AP 6.5 when I am capturing I cannot use the machine, if you try to run another App the capture stops. Is there an override in AP 6.5 for the capture isolation of the machine?
Also, is anyone using a computer similar to what I have below? I don’t know if P-Pro has been optimized for Pentium and that is why I am seeing the different results above on the AMD machine I have.
