Powerpoint to Premier Pro 2.0 – ????
Posted by Sandy B on October 7, 2006 at 4:10 amIs there a way to import a powerpoint slideshow in to a Premier Pro 2.0 timeline? Or other Adobe Collection Studio app that might help me convert this file to convert it to a MPEG2 video file for playing on a DVD-R.
Thanks.

October 7, 2006 at 6:15 pmTo convert to AVI you can use a video screen capture tool like “Camtasia”, or there are some software converters available, just do a net search for “powerpoint to AVI”, there have been other threads on this subject, you can use the forums search tool to find them.

October 8, 2006 at 12:12 amYou do need Camtasia Studio. Take a look at this video from TechSmith: https://video.techsmith.com/blog/screencasts/tss/dv/30d30d/30_Demos_in_30_Days.html?movie=5

October 8, 2006 at 4:21 amHowdy all,
I’ve run into this situation with some client Powerpoint shows that they wanted included in a video I was producing for them. I tried almost all the different software conversion packages – but they all looked pretty bad. My solution – use a scan converter – record from the scan converters y/c output to miniDV tape – firewire it into your edit system. Takes a bit of time ( but actually less than doing a software conversion )- and yup – you go down one generation – but the results are excellent ! -

Just curious, what scan converter are you using? Thanks.
