Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Powerpoint to AE…is it possible?

You need to make some sort of video clip. High quality (low-compression) is best, since highly-compressed low-quality videos may not work well in AE.

That said, search the COW on “powerpoint”, or go to a Powerpoint forum and find out how to export a video clip from PP.

Ideally, you should make JPEGs of your stills or elements, import them into AE, then reproduce your transitions there.

While there are a lot of PPT converters on the market, I have found that Techsmith Camtasia works best and is most flexible. However, you should also look into saving slides as stills (either Save As JPG or using a screen capture program) and then importing the stills into AE as Steve mentions above.

Finally, have you considered recreating your presentation totally in AE using AE text tool, etc…?

I like that idea. See if you can sell the client on the value added by creating the thing in AE, and charge accordingly.

I’ve been given a powerpoint presentation in order to put it in a video. However, it is not crucial for me to do, but I would like to. I will try some of these ideas. thanks guys!

    A Google Search found these:
    https://www.powerpoint-to-dvd.com/screenshot/powerpoint-dvd-screenshots1.html
    https://www.hexisoft.com/index.html
    https://www.convertzone.com/net/cz-powerpoint%20dvd%20burner-vcd%20&%20dvd%20burner%20-%20video%20tools%20-%20powerpoint%20dvd%20burner.htm

And apparently, Decklink can output Powerpoint presentations via its SDI interface. Then there’s your monitor’s second output to think about.
