The PowerMac dual 2.7 which connect to GRAID.
and tried to capture HDV, with the 3CCD SONY, it is not working.

    here is the symptom.

1, if the PowerMac connect to both HDV camera and GRAID, they machine can not boot up.
if one device released, eg. HDV camera, the G5 can startup.

2, the HDV can not capture, if the GRAID is remove, it will working fine.

I tried this on another machine PowerMac G5 dual 2.5 which is working fine.
Then what would be the problem? any other having this problem?

Sounds to me like you have a problem with the FireWire bus on the computer which is cranky. I’d be taking this into a repair station for a look see… another FW card might also fix this because it creates a new FW bus for the computer.
