infact i have “ASUS AX EXTREME 600 Pro” so i am facing problems to applying effects in vegas (3d effects) whenever i apply any effects(that contains high graphics or you know what i mean) i am facing problems to view.
however i came to know that Matrox RTX 100 Extreme Pro is the Best for Editing
can anyone from you tell me that if i buy the ASUS RTX 100 EXTREME PRO that can help me to stop facing the prob or not ?

one more thing someone told me that i should have atleast a 3dcard (*like as i also have Asus Ax 600 Pro Extreme*)to use with Matrox RTX 100 Extreme Pro

i mean do i realy need another card with RTX 100 EXTREME PRO ?

    Thanks for your time

    Regard,
    ALi

Although Vegas has it’s own 3D compositing, it deals with 2D frames and brings everything back to a 2D plane. It cannot, as far as I know, take any advantage of a 3D graphics card, in fact it will probably work worse with one.

An ultra high end graphics card will not speed up your preview process. What will speed up your preview is raw cpu power. As you add transitions, cross-cuts etc, so you will slow down your preview.

Vegas does not make use of gpu hardware accelaration so a high end graphics card will be to no avail.

One way of speeding up your preview is to reduce the preview quality in the preview window. Don’t forget than you can also use “build dynamic ram preview” which will render a selection to ram so that you can view in real time what the final product will look like.

Vegas is not designed to use external hardware cards to speed up renders and previews. All you need is a standard firewire card. If you want to use the Matrox RTX100, you’ll have to use Premiere. With Vegas, that card is totally unnecessary and will not be used.

We found it to be useless. Well, _worse_ than useless since it forced us to use Premiere. You should have been around a few months back when we sold it for half the cost (and were glad to unload it).
