Power problem with Sony EX-1?
So, a few days ago, I do my normal 6 month camera maintenance check, and one of my (2) Sony EX-1’s seems to be having a power issue. When I power the camera on, the power button, located on the upper backside, when I slide it, it doesn’t seem to slide and ‘snap’. The button will slide over and the camera will power on, but then it powers down right after. I think the button or button to the internal power connection is going out.
When I force the button more to the left, the power comes back on, and and then off, so I wonder if this is definitely a “power” or power connection issue, where the button’s snap-to is gone, and it can’t stay powered on. If I forcefully move the button more to the left, the power comes back on, and as long as I don’t jossle the camera, it will sometimes stay on, but I have to really move and force that power button over as far and as hard as I can, for the power to stay powered.
Has anyone has this happen over time, the power button going out, and needs to be replaced, and does anyone know to whom I can ship it, and how much it will costs for a replacement button?
Any help would be most appreciated!

I too love my EX1s but getting costly to repair. Sending to SONY is about $800 min charge, you can buy decent ones on ebay for under $1200. Make sure it has the firmware version you need. I like https://www.macievideo.com for repairs & camera matching, solid people. I recently got some parts from https://www.videoonerepair.com who also do repairs. Also good people to deal with. I’m not sure how difficult that would be to replace the switch on your own buying the switch or a broken camera for around $400. (I have one for sale for parts BTW.)
