Have you ever tried these Power 2000 batteries they sell at BH? They are 6000mAh and replace the D-54 cells.

    Thanx
    Gustavo

I got a couple of the Power2000 batteries way back in 2003 when I first got my DVX. They were sort of mediocre. I have a CGR-D54 and a DVXUser battery now, and both are quite superior to the Power2000’s. The DVXuser batter is an incredible deal; it costs just over 1/3 of what the Panasonic battery does, yet it even lasts a little longer.

Get the most from your DVX camera. The DVX Book and DVX DVD are now available at https://www.dvxuser.com/articles/dvxbook/ and at Amazon (https://tinyurl.com/54u4a)

    Thank you guys…
It seems that the dvxuser batteries are the best choice. Right now I’m waiting for my dvx to arrive and anxious to read your book Barry, so much to learn.
