PostgreSQL default password not working
I’ve installed resolvelite for mac 8.2.2. The computer then rebooted and automatically gone into the new postgres user account. Unfortunately this new account is refusing to accept postgres (or any other input) as the master (default) password so I’m left with a system that can’t be altered.
I’m unable to uninstall or install any software. Even when I log in as another user the postgres account seems to take over when it comes to installing or changing anything.
I’ve tried stopping the server – but it asks for the password. I’ve looked at a terminal command but the same thing happens.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Some extremely prompt and helpful advice from Dwaine at Blackmagic appears to have got me going again. Phew.
