    Hi,

I’m not sure if I need to use an expression, or how I should go about doing this. I want a postcard to drop on a “table” element, but I don’t want it to fall flat. I want it to bounce a little bit after it falls, just to make the move look more natural. Any suggestions on how this can be done quickly and easily?

    Thanks,
    Sean

There’s a gravity script that’s included in the demopalette.jsx scripts. It works very well for this kind of stuff. File>Scripts>Demo Palette.jsx (i think)

I’d try applying the gravity simulation to a null then linking your null to a 3D layer using a value + position expression. Then you could keyframe a bit of extra motion to position that may make it look better. You could also animate the orientation with just a few keyframes to add to the effect.
