Post Zooms in Snatch Fight Scene
Hi,
Can anyone tell me how they did the post zooms in the boxing scene on Snatch? Here’s the link:

The first one is about 42 seconds in. Is it a blending of two shots? Is that motion blur effect being added to the mix, what’s creating the feathering as it zooms in?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this is an actual zoom, a bit in slomo.
Then perhaps a morph / repos to the close shot, as timing of the reaction is critical for the effect to work.
(and it is a really fast paced movie anyways, so a few frames more before the facial expression would be killing.)Bouke

I agree, this looks like an actual zoom in, slowed down with added motion blur.
