I’m looking for answers for my situation. I’m to sync location audio for a film that I’m working on. The film was shot on 16mm at 24fps. The footage was then given to me at 8-Bit at 29.97. The audio was recorded at 48 KHz. The movie is going to be finished on film.

With that said, I know I’m converting the video to 23.976 using Cinema Tools. This I know how to do. What I don’t know how to do is convert the audio to match sync. I believe I’m suppose to make the audio 29.97? Am I suppose to marry the audio to the video so its just one video clip or do I sync the audio up on the timeline for every clip and then deliver it to the editor? (BY the way, the editor is the director and he doesn’t know how to do this.) The audio files are diva audio files. Some of the files have multiple tracks. I was told that they are Poly Files.

    I’m working with a Dual 2GHz G5 with FCP 5.1.4 and Cinema Tools 3.1.2

I would appreciate any help with this workflow.
    Thanks
