Post-keys behaviour: “keep going” keyframe
In LightWave, you can set a keyframe channel’s post-keyframe behaviour to “Linear”, in which the channel curve will continue going off in the last slope it was heading, instead of resetting or become static (curve=zero slope).
What’s the equivalent function in After Effects?

If it wasn’t clear, this is an expression. Set your first and last keyframe say to rotation 0 and 360, alt-click and apply the expression
loopOut(“continue”)
and your layer will continue along the same velocity for the duration of the comp.
