Do you mean the little pulldown menu that says how many audio tracks? Ignore that, keep scrolling down and highlight (put a green bubble) next to the amount of audio tracks you want to capture. For instance, if you want channels 1&2 (mono each channel) then put the bubble next to channels 1&2 and deselect 3-8. Then unlink the little rings to give you mono for each channel, by clicking on them. If you want stereo, then hook the little rings. It’s quite simple and very visual.

    Not that I know of.

Recapture. Select all the clips in your browser, option click or right click them and choose clip settings. Choose two tracks of audio from the resulting dialogue box, make them offline, and recapture. Perhaps you won’t have to recapture, try it and see.

    Jeremy:

    Just checked in here!

when i make the media offline, i can change the track settings, but if i reconnect, it goes back to 8 tracks
I guess this means i would have to recapture

    thanx anyway!

Yeah, I tried it over here and you do in fact need to recapture, but you will then have your desired amount of audio tracks.
