Possible to trigger a DV deck to record via firewire?
This doesn’t seem possible in Final Cut itself, but what I’m looking to do is cause my DV deck to record at specific times during the day without capturing to my hard drive. I can set timed events using automator actions as iCal events for the timing part of it, but I can’t get anything to trigger the deck to record. All I can find are apps that allow me to capture to my hard drive at specific times, and that really isn’t what I want to do. Does anyone know of any apps that can trigger a DV deck (DSR-45 connected via FireWire to be specific) to start recording without capturing? Thanks in advance.
