  • Possible to save more than one file format when rendering?

    Hey guys,

Are we able to render once but have C4d save different formats for each frame rendered.

For example, I always render to high quality TIF sequences but also want to render to RLAs with the depth info – I can’t get objects to blur in the background just using the Depth map from the multipass menu. I’m taking the final rendering into After Effects and use DOF quite a bit and discovered the power of RLA files with the z-depth and wish to experiment with them. Why am I rendering to TIF and RLA? I’ve never worked with RLAs and on a big project don’t want to take a chance with a not very common format so at least I have TIFs to use/fall back on.

UNLESS….someone knows how to truly blur objects using the depth matte in After effects…I can get the objects to blur but their borders are shar, I am using lens blur and use select the Depth matte layer in my sequence.

    Thanks,
    Brian

You could set the main render to RLA, then enable multipass, add an RGBA pass, and set multipass to render tif.
