Possible to move keyframes from clip to track?
Hello,
I’ve added a bunch of keyframes to some music clips in my timeline. I now want to change the music track, and the new track is longer than the old one, so it’s not a simple case of alt-drag to replace the music. Ideally, I’d be able to move all the clips’ keyframes from the clip to the track, so whatever I put on the track would abide by those keyframes (they’re to duck the music because of dialogue on another track).I’ve tried copying/pasting the keyframes, but that doesn’t seem to do anything. Is there a way to do this?

Use the Effect Controls panel to copy the effect(s) on your clip and then paste in another clip in your timeline. If you right-click on the effect name in the Effects Controls, you’ll see you have the copy option. If you right-click on a particular attribute of the effect, you won’t have the copy option.

I think it’s impossible to copy/paste track keyframes (clip keyframes copy OK, but cannot be pasted to a track). I’ve never done much audio in Premiere before, and it absolutely sucks! I’m now trying to duplicate an audio track…apparently you can’t. Really?! All I want to do is try out another music option, so my options are:
Duplicate my current music track to create a new track, complete with track keyframes in tact. Delete the music clips and add new music clips, whose volume will obviously obey the track keyframes. But that’s not possible.
Or
Create a new audio track, put my new music on it, then copy the track keyframes from my old music to the new track. But that’s not possible either.Unless I’m missing something?
