Possible to make media offline for single sequence within same project

March 9, 2006 at 11:10 pmI’ve got to replace the animation files within a sequence with the final renders. The files were created from still image sequences, converted via QT PRO to uncompressed NTSC media. There are many sequences that share the older animation files, so I don’t want those sequences to go offline, just the one of them (which is a copy of the final offline sequence).
Media manager doesn’t seem to take into account files like these that don’t have reel names. Is there a way to make offline just this sequence, then relink to the new animation files (they have the same names)?
Many thanks

March 10, 2006 at 12:29 amYou might try just recconnecting the files within the sequence by right clicking on them and choosing recconnect. Then choose the approriate file on your HD that will replace that file. Should do the trick.
Either that or cut them straight over the previous version, but I’m sure you already thought about that.

March 10, 2006 at 12:31 amIt’s very complicated. Select all the files you want to swap out, then right click (control click if you have a 1 button mouse) and choose “reconnect media”. BTW, if other sequences in your project are using the same proxies & you don’t want to swap those out, you may want to copy this sequence to a new project first.
