I’m guessing this is not possible but perhaps someone can suggest an alternative.
I want to animate an object falling and hitting water and making ripples using the ripple shader, however this shader will only be affected by objects from an emitter. I want just one object to fall an I want to be able to control where it falls – this I cannot seem to persuade the emitter to do.. Any ideas?

In the Particle Emitter’s particle properties set the Birthrate to 1 and make the difference between Start and Stop Emission 1 frame. In its emitter properties set the size to 1×1 so that wherever the emitter is positioned the particle will emit from that position only.
