    Hi Guys,
Thought I’d post another item we’ve found in our testing, and see if anyone ran across this (Once again. I’m totally impressed with the decklink compared to our bluefish cards. Since switching, we’ve found only 1 minor bug, and everything that is supposed to work works….what a change).

We captured some footage from a Linear Digital Suite, and did a series of tests using the bluefish codecs. When we took our footage back to the Edit Suite we found the following:

The original captured clip, output back through premiere, matched the edit suite perfectly.
The Clip, rendered in after effects using the Quicktime 10bitRGB, and the AVI YUV codecs, all were very close to the original, but there was a slight clipping in the luminance. The Quicktime 10bit codec was off quite a bit lum’s and hue. Although the 10 bit RGB is extremely close, and probably will never be an issue, I was wondering if anyone might know what this is. I think it has to do with After Effects. I can see the clipping, as soon as I bring the clip into a project (prior to rendering). I’ve tried changing my project settings to 16, or 32 bit, but no difference. Any ideas what may be causing this?

    Thanks for any thoughts.
    Mike
