So, I’ve got a pre-comped 4k sized map with nulls at different locations to represent cities. I have that pre-comped into a 1920×1080 comp.

I would like to shape layers in the main comp that directly correlate to the location indicated by the null in the pre-comp, no matter the position and scale of the map.
I have tried pick-whipping from the shape layer’s position to the null in the pre-comp but that obviously isn’t working.

What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
