  • Position a Shape Element’s Transform to Absolute Coordinates?

Hi there! Is it possible to use an expression to place an individual shape element inside a shape layer to absolute coordinates?

I have a “Rectangle 1” group inside the Contents of Shape Layer 1. Of course the position of Groups inside a Shape Layer is relative to the Shape Layer as a whole, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to change that behavior so that the a Group’s Position is in absolute values instead of relative.

For Example: have the Group “Rectangle 1” be at, and appear at Comp coordinates of “50,50” instead of at “-910, -490”

The idea is that no matter where the Position is of “Shape Layer 1”, “Rectangle 1” will always appear to be at 50,50.

    Am I making sense? 🙂

Try using this for the Rectangle 1 Position transform:

    fromComp([50,50])
