    Hi all

    I will be travelling to a remote location next month with 3 camera ops shooting Sony EX1s/3s. (Hi-Def LongGOP mpg2 format)

    I will be required to put together several program packages for playback whilst on location, and so I am wondering whether anyone has been in this same situation, and how they went about it.

    My current AJA PremPro 3 suite is nowhere near portable enough.
    So I intend immediately upgrading to PremPro5 (and then madly get up to speed with the software over the next few weeks)!

    I was thinking of purchasing an ACER Z5710 i3 All in One TouchScreen PC, with eSATA port… plus buying an eSATA 4 disk Raid box.

    I am sure PPro 5 can handle this, I’m just hoping I can get enough bandwidth out of the little Raid unit.
    Anyone in the same position… Do you think this would work for me?

    John,

    I am currently using CS5 Master Collection on a Sager Laptop with a eSATA connected G-Safe. I am working with the EX-1R and I just love CS5 and my laptop. It is a killer $5600.00 laptop that gives me 6 or more streams of EX footage with realtime preview and effects. Drop me a note if you want more information.
