Pop-up effects pallet disappearing?
I am using AE 6.5 The pop-up effects pallets keep disappearing whenever I click on the timeline or other part of AE. I used to have the pallets stay put whenever I clicked on the timeline. Now, I have to go into the twirl down lists to access the options. I have have checked the help files and could find nothing. I have gone through the preferences with a fine tooth comb, and could not figure it out.

Select the layer with the effect and press F3. That will bring up the effects window.
