  • Poor quality when i trim and then make movie

Posted by Andrew Taylor on June 13, 2019 at 12:01 pm

    Hi

I created a webcam video of in mp4 format from a logitec camera
I took it into vegas in mp4 format and trimmed it
(there does not seem to be an uncompressed file available)

But when i produce movie in vegas, the quality is very poor
How can i improve the quality?

    thanks
    Andrew

Hi Andrew! I thought your issue sounded familiar:

    So, nothing changed?

I captured a widescreen mp4 from my webcam at 17k bps.
So do i need to set vegas at the same 17k bps?
There does not seem to be an option to select bps in production in vegas.

Just so i undertand, it’s ok to import trim then export an MP4?
(not that i have a choice because webcam creates an mp4 to start with)
